Position

At Kiteworks, we are focused on building solutions that enable millions of users to securely share files with the outside world. Our platform provides enterprise security and governance over content exchange, prevents data leaks, and protects against malicious cyber-attacks.

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Manager to lead our growing security team. You will be leading a strong team of cybersecurity engineers that continuously works toward improving the security of our product and processes. You should have experience in nation-state cyberwarfare and previous experience in a similar role, as a cybersecurity manager or senior cybersecurity engineer. This position entails hands-on work to address immediate security threats to the product, planning and developing security controls for both the product and CI/CD processes, team management, and regular interaction with corporate management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide the security team and remediate security gaps using industry best practices.
  • Work closely with Product Management to understand security implications of features and lead threat analysis.
  • Communicate security posture and best practices as part of running security training programs for different engineering teams.
  • Promote active prevention of security threats.
  • Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and SDLC.
  • Oversee the bug bounty programs, CVE filing of security issues, and communications pertaining to security reports with customers & contracted security service providers.
  • Analyze security issues found by different teams and improve security processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Sign off on product releases, acting as the security release gate.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, working directly in a software development environment.
  • Experience as either a team leader or a senior security engineer.
  • Experience developing security controls against nation-state threat actors.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, system hardening, OWASP, and application security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of cyberattack vectors and the ability to articulate the cyber kill chain and relevant controls to prevent and detect attacks.
  • Practical experience developing in Python. Other scripting and/or programming languages are an advantage.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and an understanding of VA/PT techniques.
  • Awareness of DevSecOps practices and ways of implementing security in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of engineering practices for SDLC, including threat modeling (using frameworks like STRIDE), secure code review, and defensive/offensive programming.
  • Passionate about security, enjoy challenges, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of available and emerging security threats and various security technologies.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization.
  • Good management skills to lead a team.
  • Passion for Kiteworks space and mission.

Good to Have:

  • Knowledge of information security standards and frameworks, such as FedRAMP, CIS-CAT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), etc.
  • Industry certifications, such CISSP, SANS, etc.

You will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package, including excellent benefits and stock options. Other benefits include: medical, dental, and 18 days of PTO, going up to 21 days after 3 years.
